How good are the results? You can scroll down to see representative before and after pictures. Dr. Khan is experienced and knowledgable. He has written textbook chapters on facial fillers, teaches a national course, and has co-authored Clinical Atlas of Cosmetic Oculofacial Surgery.

Which fillers do you use? We use Restylane and Radiesse. These fillers vary somewhat in how long they last, how deeply they are injected, where they best work, and whether they contain anesthetic. Dont worry though, we can guide you to the best filler for your needs. In fact, we explain some of the differences below.

Restylane dramatically softens deep smile lines and plump up thinning lips. The results are immediate. In fact, at the end of a single in-office treatment, many patients actuallv giggle with happiness when they see their new fuller lips and soft warm smile. As you can see in our before and after photos (scroll below), Restylane also reduces wrinkles and deep lines where the cheek meets the lip area, on the chin below the outer corners of the lips, on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and in the crow's feet. Restylane also treats depressed scars. The hollows under the eyes (Tear Trough) can also be filled.

What is in Restylane? Restylame is a FDA approved medication delivered as a series of tiny injections that fill in and plump up wrinkles and folded areas resulting in a smoother skin appearance, reduction of age related lines, and fuller natural lips. Unlike shorter acting collagen injections, Restylane effects last for 6-12 months in most patients.

Who should consider Restylane? These fillers are right for all skin types and for anyone interested in improving the appearance of lips, smile lines, wrinkles of the frown area, forehead, and crow's feet.

How important is it that a physician performs the treatment? Dr. Khan has been injecting Restylane since FDA approval in early 2004. He uses a variety of methods to ensure a uniform and consistent effect with minimal discomfort. If you are not satisfied with your current treatment, don't give up on Restylane. Let us show you the difference that an experienced physician can make in your results!

How expensive is Restylane? Treatment costs vary depending upon the area treated and amount of drug used. On average, treatment is $650 for a vial (1.0 mL). Treating the lips and surrounding areas usually requires one vial.

Will I experience any discomfort or downtime during the treatment? Restylane/Radiesse is a 10 - 30 minute office procedure with no downtime, but you will need to come in 30-60 minutes early so we can apply a numbing cream to your skin. Many people experience minimal discomfort when the numbing cream is applied in advance (call our office ahead of time to arrange for numbing cream). Most patients experience a mild stinging sensation of the skin, but it is mild enough that 90% of patients do not wince or move during the procedure.

How can I start the Restylane program? Simply contact our office to schedule your consultation and treatment at any of our convenient locations in and around Kansas City. We will discuss your needs as well as the pros and cons of Restylane.
